Thurmont Police Chief Arnold Simmons at the Thurmont American Legion for the Childrens Christmas Party in Decemebr 1956. Chief Simmons was offered the position of Chief on Oct. 3, 1956 and accepted. I believe he served as a Maryland State Trooper before accepting the position with the Thurmont Police Department. He served as Chief unitil 1959 or 1960.
