The entire week was filled with events to attend. Note that on Sunday, July 22nd the new Fireman's Hall was dedicated. Several photos showing the dedication can be seen in the Thurmont "G" album. Maryland Governor McKeldin was at the dedication and is featured in several photos.

On Monday evening, the Thurmont Lions Club showed the movie 'Thurmont on Parade' at the Thurmont High School Auditorium. Tickets cost $0.40 for adults and $0.20 for children. This movie is a wonderful record of Thurmont's residents, businesses, churches, and scenery. Several Thurmont Lions Club members filmed the full-color movie. One of the tickets can be seen in this album.
