Father James Hobbs was the son of Edward Guy Hobbs and Lillian Kelly Hobbs. He was educated in Thurmont and went on to become a Priest in the Catholic Church. The photos in this album were taken at the first Mass he officiated on May 26, 1957, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Thurmont. I was honored to have known Father Hobbs and have included a photo of both of us taken at the Baltimore Basilica where he served as Monsignor.
