This scene is noted as being on the Western Maryland. At the right is a stone bridge abuttment and behind the track is a work building with a steam blow off pipe. The original WMRR bridge over North Church Street had abuttments like this and there were several buisness located within the West side of the curve including the Osler Exellsior Mill and Creager Shingle mill, both of which used steam powered equipment. The only issues is with the hillside beind the train, it looks too close to be in Thurmont.
