This is a matchbook cover from Wilhide Chevrolet and Oldsmobile of Thurmont. The dealership was owned by Calvin "Pud" Wilhide and was located at 29 Water Street in the building that now houses the NAPA auto parts store.
I have not seen many artifacts from the Wilhide dealership, although there may still be some out there. The garage was established by Edwin Creeger, it was then purchased by Fred Redding, then Pud Wilhide, and then by Stull and Dougherty. After the new Stull and Dougherty dealership was built on Frederick Road the building was subdivided and several businesses have occupied it since.
