Inside the flap of the envelope are dollar amounts and a description of the services they would cover. I don't remember how much the maternity services were in the late 1970s, but I know they were considerably more than the $65.00 shown here! It is hard to date this, but according to the Smithsonian, the three-cent Liberty Stamp was first issued in June 1954 and discontinued in July 1958. This was a First Class stamp for private mail, as with the prices in the envelope, we no longer enjoy three-cent postage!
