This is a detail of the previous image. This view of a wreck on the Western Maryland was taken from one of W. R. Hicks negatives. The wreck involved two trains, Train No.601 a work extra headed East with Engine No. 601 and Train No. 301 a local freight being pulled by Engine No. 313. They collided 3/4 of a mile West of Westminster on July 13, 1912. In this view you can see the track crew clearing and repairing the track, and the damage to the front of the engine. This is probably a photo of a postcard view.
