A detail of the previous image showing the work crew. This view of a wreck on the Western Maryland was taken from one of W. R. Hicks negatives. The wreck involved two trains, Train No.601 a work extra headed East with Engine No. 601 and Train No. 301 a local freight being pulled by Engine No. 313. They collided 3/4 of a mile West of Westminster on July 13, 1912. In this view you can see one of the engines off the track with the tender pancaked into the rear of the engine. This is probably a photo of a postcard view.
