This photo of Aspen Lodge at Shangri La was taken on October 2, 1945 when the facility was opened for inspection by reporters. Originally known as Camp High Catoctin it was made the Presidential get away when the U.S. Navy stopped President Roosevelt form using his yacht for security reasons.
