This postcard view from the early 1960's includes the Rambler Motel, Royer's Restaurant and the Shell sign for Vernon Myers' service station At this time Rte 15 and Rte 550 (MD81) had an at grade intersection with a flashing light. It was a pretty big deal when the first Rte 15 bridge was put in, I think that was around 1969-1970. The Rambler is still in use, Royer's was closed and Sheetz built in it's place. Myers' Shell was taken over by Dave Lawyer then closed and now Burger King sits where the service station once sat.
