This item probably came from Hazel Zinkhan's sale. This is the Farmers Almanac from 1975, if it weren't for people like Hazel these would have been long gone!
Although 1975 doesn't seem like very long ago to me, 47 years have passed since this booklet was printed. The interesting thing about the Almanac is that it was sponsored by the Plaza Home and Garden Center. As I remember, this store was located in the Plaza Shopping Center about 3/4 way back. It was operated by Calvin S. Burrier, and featured small engine parts, chainsaws, mowers, gardening tools, seeds, etc. Calvin and his wife, Margaret(?) ran the store for several years and at one time Mrs. Burrier sold sewing and knitting notions, patterns, and fabrics. Calvin also had a shop behind his home at Frederick Road and Water Street where he did small engine repairs. Both Calvin and his wife were very nice people and the shop was a popular place.
