This is not Thurmont but it is from the Hagerstown & Frederick Rail Road. The view shows HFRR Car No 41 at Beaver Creek probably some time in the 1920's. This photo is actually a photo of a postcard. I purchase many 'original' negatives and have found that a lot of them are a photograph of a postcard. This was a popular way to reproduce postcard views.  Beaver Creek is a small community located near the modern intersection of I-70 and Md 66. There are still a few houses and a small general store.
