This is the body of H&F RR Car No. 61 at Thurmont in 1939 after it was moved to the intersection of Frederick Road and Water Street to serve as the Dixie Diner.  This restaurant was operated by Mary Fogle and her husband Leonard. The Fogles lived in the house to the left and Leonard operated a garage and trash truck service on the property to the right. Inlter years the Dixie Diner was run by Jimmy Steele. Many of us will remeber the Dixie Diner even if we were not old enough to eat there, it sat vacant for many years before being taken away. This was a real trolley diner!
