A West bound WMRR train approaches the station as H&F RR No 172 waits for passengers and freight for the return trip to Frederick on May 18 1952. H&F No. 5 sits further down the siding close to the Thurmont Mill and the new water tower at Moore Buisness Forms on Apples Church Road can be seen risng above the Mill. Carroll Street crosses the tracks just past the watering column. The WMRR Station and the freight terminal are on the left. In this view the tower has been removed from the station. The watering column wold soon be removed once the WMRR went to all diesel motive power and the two telegraph signals would be removed as radio communications improved.
