An inerior view of an H&F RR Car during around 1940. In this view you can see the advertisement on both sides of the car above the windows. The motorman stands at the controls at the front of the car while all the riders seem to be facing the rear car. The seats in most of the cars could be reversed by moving the back rest from one side on the seat to the other. As can be seen here the motorman is standing on a lower level than the seating area, many cars had three or more exterior steps, and one up to the motorman position then another step into the car.
