This photograph shows No 167 in front of the car barn that stood behind the H&F RR station on East Main Street in Thurmont. This is one the few photos I have seen that has a clear view of the barn. I think it was removed sometime in the early 1940's since it is not in any of the photos from the late 40's onward. This barn could hold one car overnight. Several people have told me that as little kids they would bang on the sides of the barn to roust the hobos that often slept in the building. The photo shows the main line running to the left of the barn and another siding turning into what is now the GHC carnival grounds. The GHC purchased the carnival grounds from the H&F RR.
