The Farmers Cooperative Association had a location on Maple Avenue and Boundary Avenue in Thurmont next to the Thurmont Cooperative. This advertisement must have been from the late 1950's, the phone number for Thurmont location has four digits while the Middletown number has only one. The garage is still standing and there were fuel oil tanks on the right hand side of the building, they were removed in the ealry 1970's. I do not remember what they did in the garage but they may have sold lubricatiung oils and other similar items.
