Thurmont, MD , June 18, 1973 Leonid Brezhnez, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is surrounded by heavy security as he arrives at Catoctin Hign School to board a helicopter for Washington, Heavy fog at Camp David forced the contingent to to drive to Thumont from Canmp David for the flight to Washington where Brezhnev will meet with President Nixon. The helicopter landed in front of CHS in the grass with the circular driveway, attracting a considerable crowd eager to see Brezhnev.
