This view was more than likely taken from the second-floor porch of the Sunrise Cafeteria. The foundations for the new building can be seen at the left. Two of the piers for the water tower seen in the center along with the square hole for the water pipe, pumps and gear. The construction shed sits along Apples Church Road and the Cannon Shoe Company is at the right. Poplar Street has not been built yet. Our house would be built where the treed lot is located.
