This photo shows the Thurmont Base Ball team playing at the field behind the Thurmont High School. You can see the top of the Thurmont High School building above the grandstand. Note the large grandstand, this held a sizeable crowd. The grandstand was removed prior to the 1949 addition of the gymnasium/cafeteria wing to the school.
