This was the Ford automobile dealership and garage. It was open until sometime in the 1970's. The son, Jesse Renner owned one of the first motorcycles in the county and had an Indian Motorcycle dealership starting around 1910. He also served as a Frederick County Commissioner and owned one of the first private airplanes in the County. He had an airstrip just South of New Midway where he kept his airplane appropriately named, "The Queen of Frederick County".

This building had a general store on the first floor at the right and a Rail Road Freight office on the left. The Rose Jelly Company occupied the second floor.

This photo of the Renner Ford dealership in New Midway is taken from a Ford Motor Company dealership binder and shows the buildings as they appeared in the early 1920's. New Midway is located on MD Rte. 194 between Woodsboro and Keymar and if you blinked you would probably miss it. There were at one time several businesses in New Midway, the most notable owned by the Renner family. F. C. Renner and his son were in business for many years and owned among other things a general store, Indian Motorcycle dealership, Ford dealership & garage, Pope automobile dealership, Ford Bus dealership and the Rose Jelly Company. These businesses were all contained in two building on the West side of Rte. 194 at the railroad tracks. This photo is taken from a Ford Motor Company dealership binder and shows the buildings as they appeared in the early 1920's. At the left is the Rose Jelly building and to the right is the Renner Motor Company garage. This photo was most likely taken by F. C. Renner's brother, he had a photo studio in New Midway.
