The boy behind them is identified as Jim Miller. Sue still lives in Thurmont and is married to Larry Clabaugh. If you knew Dave you would recognize the smirk on his face. He considered himself a real lady killer and he looks happy to be standing next to Sue. Dave's father owned the Late Meat Market on Howard Street and he opened Davey's Diner on Water Street to give Dave something to do. Davey's Diner is still there and with massive changes, it is now the Thurmont Kountry Kitchen. Dave worked for many years at the Cannon Shoe Company and Royer's restaurant before moving to New England. He was also involved in the Thurmont Community Ambulance Service and I believe he was the first trained EMT in Thurmont. Thanks to Sue for sharing this gem with us!

Date: 10/12/2023
