This image is from a W. R. Hicks negative and shows the Dec. 16, 1912 Western Maryland wreck at Pen Mar just East of the overhead bridge. People standing on a bridge and a water tower can be seen in the distance. Engines number 610, 627 and 157 were involved in the wreck. Evidently five individuals perished in this collision including Freight Conductor William Eichelberger, Freight Engineer J. L. Helbig, Baggage Master Frank M. Leister, Freight Firteman Harry Clayton and a Tramp named J. McFatlin.
