This is a view of the Thurmont Community Ambulance Service building taken by Fred Schumacher in November 1970. At this time the ambulances were housed in a brick garage at the left rear of the Guardian Hose Company parking lot. The Ambulance Company moved into their current location and this building was removed when the new GHC fire station was built. The building could house two ambulances and had some storage space to the right-hand side. The GHC brush truck was kept in the garage to the right.
