At the center of this detail is the Western Maryland Rail Way Station and railraod work yards. To the left of the station is one of the three or four water towers that stood near the station to water the steam engines when they stopped to drop off or pick up passengers or frieght. Across the tracks is a long wood building with a tin roof, this was a limber yard and may have been operated by the Waesche family. To the right above the train station sits the large house known as Glenhurst. Glenhurst still stands and was an apartment building for many years. Today (2020) it remainsns as a private home while the station and lumber yard are long gone. Boundary Avenue runs along the near side of the tracks and Lombard Street is the wide street running to the left bottom of the photo from the tracks, note crossing to the statin at the end of Lombard. Carroll Street Extended can be seen between the train station and Glenhurst.
