Here we see Western Maryland engine 207 on the main line at Carroll Street and two Hagerstown and Frederick trolley cars on the siding. The number of individuals standing around would indicate that this is also a Rail Fan event. By the early 1950's interurban trolley service was almost gone and the steam engines were being replaced with modern diesel powered units. Rail Fan trips were organized by the H&F RR to let riders experience both forms of travel and were a great opportunity to take photos such as these.
