Here's a great photo of Emmitsburg High School taken between 1936 and 1938. The bus out front looks much older than 1936 but that is the date associated with the picture. This is one of several photos apparently taken on the same day. As can be seen, this was taken before the gymnasium addition was built on the left side of the school. I imaging that there was a gymnasium and auditorium in the building prior to the addition. THS had those facilities on the second floor. This school and many others shared a common design that still looks pleasing today.
