This is the envelope Mildred Elizabeth Shorb sent to Joseph Shorb. The envelope is postmarked June 12, 1923, at Rocky Ridge. Until Catoctin High School was built, kids in Rocky Ridge attended school in Emmitsburg.  In the early days of the 20th Century, many of the kids rode the Emmitsburg Railroad to school and back.
